Take the jewelry out, that's the first step. After the jewelry is removed, keep taking care of it as if it has jewelry in it. Keep it clean, because even though there is no jewelry in it, it needs to be clean. It will eventually close up, but you may have some scarring.
Everyone is different. But from personal experience, it may never close. I had mine pierced for about 4 years. I took it out when i got pregnant the first time, and here it is 3 years later and i could still easily put a belly ring in it. I'm just trying to figure out if i can re-pierce it behind the original hole to close the first one.
Put a pinch of natural sea salt into a shot glass of warm water. Soak your piercing in it for about 5minutes, 2-3 times a day. After you soak, rinse it off with warm water. If it gets sore or anything and the sea salt is too drying, just use warm water. If you press the shot glass onto your belly, it'll create suction so that instead of standing up, you can lie down without the water spilling everywhere.

You should stop wearing your lip rings and wait. It will close over time. But, more then likely leave a scar.
If you've had the piercing for only four weeks then yes, it will close relatively quickly. My lip piercing was two years old and closed up in only a few days, leaving a small scar. If you don't want it to close but do want it to go unnoticed look into piercing retainers.
The length of time you have the piercing for will be three times that period for the piercing marks to close up and disappear.
For your upper lip, Left is a monroe piercing. The bottom lip could just be a lip piercing, or labret piercing.
NEVER take out your piercing if it is infected. Doing so can cause an abscess. The piercing will close and trap the infection inside
14g is normal for a male lip piercing, 16g is normal for a female lip piercing.
Like any hole in the body that wasn't there by design the piercing will close if jewellery is not kept in the piercing. The speed at which the piercing closes will be dictated by the period of time the jewellery has been kept in the piercing, the longer jewellery is worn the longer it will take for the piercing to close up.
