Just collect them and put them in some sort of binder or folder. There is no correct way to have a hobby like collecting stamps.

Collecting is just a matter of accumulating. Within stamp collecting there are many aspects to be considered when trying to maximize value and to be able to communicate on an even playing field with other collectors. This means education on valuation and preservation. Many people simply peeled the stamps off the paper. This damages them and basically eliminates any value they may have had.

Collections can be based on anything that you want. It can be from a specific country, a specific topic or subject, or even a specific color.
