How do you color the cows on Farmville?

At some random point in time, a notice will come up while your on farmville, saying that there is a lost brown cow at your farm's gate, this is your oppertunity to say "help cow" and then a notice will go onto your profile. You then have to go onto your facebook account and hit "adopt cow" on the notice on your wall. And then Farmville will open up and you can place the cow where ever on your farm.

To get a calf, you have to utilize your farmville neighbors who have had a dairy farm and a bull. As they collect their milk, a pop up will occur which will tell them they have a calf and offer to have them share it with their neigbors. On your news feed you will see these and if you click on them in a timely manner you can get your calf. To date there are white calves, brown calves, pink calves and occasioally green (alien) calves.

They do not grow up or transform. You "harvest" the calves by "brushing" them.

The only thing that sucks is that you don't get to keep them, you can only give them away to friends.

Well to tell you the truth you cannot color them. You can only find/adopt colored cows. Look on your news feed to find your friends who have a cow that needs to be adopted

One of your friends has to stumble across one on your farm and post it on their wall, and you have to adopt it before anyone else does. The same goes for bulls, alien cows etc.

To get a chocolate cow on farmville you need to adopt one tat wonders onto one of your friends farm. Chocolate cows or brown cows yield chocolate milk.
