Can Lexapro tablets be taken if broken in half?
I have been on Lexapro for about a month now. My weight is ballooning. I want to come off of it before the withdrawal get to bad. Does the time you are on lexapro coincide with the amount of withdrawl problems? The problem is, I feel great taking the lexapro, but, can't handle the side effect

I have been taking lexapro for two years and have finally decided to stop. The tapering off process has been difficult with the dizziness and all..my pharmacist recommended stemetil and it is really helping with the dizziness and brain zaps associated with tapering off of the dreaded lexapro!!
If you have missed 4 doses of Lexapro--should you just start taking them again or quit?
You should take your next dose as soon as possible. If you have been on Lexapro for a long period of time then the withdrawl effects can be unpleasant, as in causeing anxiety and/or depression in a way worse than before. If you do not like lexapro you should notify your doctor and come off of it slowly.
Has anyone had trouble with their gallbladder because you took Lexapro?
I did and ended it with having my gallbladder removed and weaning off Lexapro in one week. My first problems with my gallbladder arose a couple of months into taking Lexapro for the first time years before. I stopped and then I had a pregnancy and about 5 year with no lexapro. When I had a traumatic family sitiuation I tried Lexapro again and again a couple of months into it I started to have gallbladder attacks. I took one lexapro after my surgery and it made me so sick I have vowed to never touch it again. It sucked because it really did great for my anxiety.
I have been on lexapro for about 2 years and havent had a period in 18 months. The doctors say it has nothing to do with the lexapro I started weaning off it about 3 weeks ago and now I'm spotting?
I have been on lexapro for almost 2 years and my periodshave been very irregular since then. Sometimes I go for 5-6 months without having one then I will have 2 in a row. Before being on lexapro my periods were very predictable I always knew exactly what day I was going to start, now I never know if I am going to or not and if I do how heavy it will be. I have also gained 30 pounds being on lexapro.
What is this swishing noise when you turn your head and vertigo when you stpped taking lexapro?
I think what you're describing is a "brain zap" which is an electric shock dizzy sensation. It's a common withdrawal symptom from discontinuing antidepressants. Best of luck getting off these drugs--I'm trying to come off Lexapro myself in order to save money.

yes, you (obviously) know tachacardia is a symptom of lexapro. I (obviously) suggest you discontinue lexapro very (very) slowly to avoid the rapid pounding inside your chest......
You are on Lexapro and Wellbutrin both - you want to get off one of them Which one should you get off of?
due to the fact i have been on both and had a lot of intestinal problems with Lexapro, I would definantly get off it and stay on the Wellbutrin. Wellbutrin is usually more well tolerated.
What happens if you completely stop taking Lexapro overnight?
I wouldn't do that if I were you. You need to wean yourself off of Lexapro slowly and even then you are going to get some withdrawl symptoms, including dizziness and nausea. That's what happened to me when I went off Lexapro over a two week period. From what I understand the withdrawl can sometimes be worse than what I had. I would consult with your doctor and come up with a plan for you to get off. If you need to go back on something I would stay away from Lexapro - I have been on several antidepressants and that was the worse one to stop!
Is it safe to take zanax to help with withdrawal from Lexapro?
Xanax can be prescribed by your doctor alongside lexapro and taking them at the same time is okay. I am on Lexapro and take Xanex for occasional bouts of anxiety or panic attacks. However, weening yourself off Lexapro with Xanex is probably not the best idea. If you are having withdrawal from Lexapro you should probably go back on it.
