Trixie, the General Store Keeper, will tell you to go to Skullton (AKA Head of Pirate Isle) to a person named Blythe Booty, she knows where the books are. She will you that Shimerin Shimm took the books, but you must give her 5 emeralds in exchange of the information. Shimerin Shimm in the house next to Fourfingered Frank in the forest on Skullton. After talking to her you'll just need to pass a few messages to Frank and then you'll be done.
