If you have two or three stars next to your file (by completing every single level), you can enter them as many times as you like. You'll know because the circle you stand on will be blue instead of red. However, you probably haven't done that yet. Not to worry, you can still get more items. Here's how: First go to any course course except the final castle. It's easiest with courses with flagpoles. You should probably stick with World 1-1. Make sure there are no Toad Houses at the left of the world. Once you get to the flagpole, you can choose which one you want by ending the timer with the last two digits the same. Note that this will not work if they're zeros. When you end a level with the last two digits of the timer the same, you get the original level complete song and fireworks for whatever the last number is. You get 4,000 points for each firework, so you can get up to 36,000 points! More importantly, though, you get a special Mushroom House at the far left of the world. You can use it whenever you want. Keep in mind, though, you can't get another one in that world until you use the first, so try to use it as soon as possible. Now what kind of house do you get? Don't worry, I'll tell you. If the timer says X11, X22, X33, you get a Red Toad House. You can get a Super Mushroom, Fire Flower, Koopa Shell, or Mini Mushroom. If the item isn't good enough, you'll get 1,000 points instead.
