You have to have a piece that plugs into the USB port that will connect to the guitar. If you have that piece, you click the button on it for syncronization and the button on the guitar.

Yes, you can play Guitar Hero while using your wireless Xbox 360 controller. The wireless standard controller is all I play Guitar Hero with, the guitar is too complicated and the controller just makes everything easier. The only thing I haven't figured out about Guitar Hero when you use the standard controller is how you use the Whammy Bar. Otherwise, the controller is an excellent way to play Guitar Hero.

Sync, like to connect a wireless guitar to the system? There's a small button at the bottom of it, near the nub for the guitar strap. Hold that in, and hold in the small button next to the memory card slot on the xbox till they sync up.
