Several million people have quit World of Warcraft over the years. Most come back later because they can not find another game like it that is of the quality they are used to. Yes, Blizzard does notice when large numbers of players leave, they have a quarterly sales call (about every three months) among their top people and others. It means that the Blizzard downloader program has somehow been moved from the Worldofwarcraft folder. If you know where it is, simply drag it back into the folder. If this does not work, backup your Interface, WTF and Cache folders and run the repair utility. It should put the downloader in the proper place and fix the issue.
i had the same problem. you probably dragged the launcher onto the desktop. drag it back into the same folder you took it from and then right click it and go down to create shortcut. it will make a shortbut in the same folder and then drag that to the desktop.

Send it back to the store you got it from, or call them.
