Alfa was founded in Milan, Italy, in 1909. Today it is owned by the Fiat Group whose headquarters are located in Turin, Italy.
Alfa Romeos have a very sporty reputation and usually they have above average speed capabilities. But it also depends on the engine you choose.
Used Alfa Romeos can be purchased from Alfa Romeo dealers, or any second hand car dealership such as carshop. Ebay and autotrader have websites where used cars are listed so you would be able to get an Alfa Romeo from there too.
A Reliant Robin of course. What about the Trabant? Many people consider Alfa Romeos very unreliable.
There are many versions of Alfa Romeos that are sold under the name 'spider', everything from the classic 60's spider to the modern 946 spider. Even the classic spider was sold from '66-'93, but looking at £4-10k.
Alfa Romeos in general, and especially models prior to the year 2000, are not considered to be very reliable cars. The Spider model is not an exception to this rule, although the current-generation Alfa Spider, based on the Brera coupe, is relatively more reliable. But hey, if you consider yourself a real 'Alfisti', the reliability issues shouldn't bother you.
In the 1970's and 80's Alfa's build quality was very poor, and as such they got a poor reputation for reliability, which is gradually being got rid of, some of the newer models come very highly in reliability surveys. Engine wise, Opel/ Vauxhall purchase their engines from Fiat/ Alfa group, the electronics are by Magneti Mareli (another Fiat / Alfa group company), who supply Audi and BMW too. I think the dealer network doesn't help, as they are a little poor. Most owners use a good independent where the service is better.
Alfa Ro'Me:o
Alfa Romeo is a car
Actually you cant... You can only send from mtc to mtc or alfa to alfa
Depending on which model Alfa Romeo you mean either: a) Trawl through these forums: www.alfaowner.com www.alfa156.net www.alfabb.com or spend money on either a Haynes manual for older models or a CD service manual from here: www.workshopcds.co.UK I bought one for a 156 for £5 and it is brilliant, it's what the Alfa Mechanics at the garage consult.
