Use argan oil! I use some after each shower on my curls and it does a great job at taming the frizz. I've got one from Pro Naturals that I got online. :)
To fight frizz for curly hair its very simple and easy. Make-sure when your in the shower or washing your hair that you use a wide toothed comb. Some of them say anti frizz so they would help. A lot of people get frizz from when they dry the hair with a towel DON'T RUB YOUR HAIR WITH IT! Just slow clump it at the bottom and top and then just leave it. When your air drying your hair make-sure you don't touch it as this will cause frizz as well.
you can blow dry it strait with a brush but you may still have some frizz. it works better if its not raining or cloudy
volumizing for flat thin boring hair, straightening for curly hair if you want it straight, damage control for split ends etc., frizz control for unpretty puffy hair, hydrating for dry hair, special color/highlights for hair with highlights/artifical colors. PS) if you needed those hair tips, heres a nother one: never ever combine volumizing and frizz control, unless you are a clown. We hope this helps.
A diffuser on the hair dryer is used typically for curly hair, allowing it to dry and not frizz or pull out the curls. It can also be used to add volume and body.
Overly dry hair
No, if your hair is dry it will frizz also... and there are probably other causes...
Usually overly dry hair.
To style curly hair, start by applying a styling cream or mousse to damp hair to define and enhance the curls. Use a diffuser attachment on a blow dryer to dry your hair or let it air dry for natural curls. Avoid brushing or combing your curls when dry to prevent frizz, and consider using a curling iron to touch up any loose or undefined curls.
Look for creamy, moisturizing shampoo/conditioners for dry, curly hair. L'Oreal Elseve, Elvive and Vive are good shampoos and conditioners for dry curly hair.
I recommend a Indalo Macadamia Nuts Anti-Frizz Hair Mask with Goodness of Hibiscus that can tame frizz and give your locks moisture.
The best way to learn how to use them is to get the book "Curly Girl" by Lorraine Massey. The book teaches alot about curly hair and how to style it, including using the clips. Also, check out the DevaConcepts web site and Deva Curl hair products which are great for curly hair. You can find a stylist on the Salon Locator at the web site to try the styling techniques and products and the cutting technique (it's done dry). I have always had wavy hair that tended to frizz, and now that I am using the Deva products I have great curls and no frizz. Check it out. The products can be bought on the internet, but it works better if you have a stylist who is knowledgable show you how to use them. Good luck.
The best way to get naturally curly hair straight is to wash the hair to get any hairspray or gel out. Then blow dry the hair with a hair dryer. After getting the hair dry, use a hair straightener.
