How do you control the trains in EA rail simulator?

basic controls

When you first depart, the map will drop so you can trace your route, this doesn't really do anything besides do all the turning for you. If you don't want to trace the route, just slide it a little bit in the direction you want to take off in.

To look around just move the stylus around the screen.

Next, the wooden box with the lever on the right is called the GEARBOX, it is the main control used to drive the train. There are four gears: reverse (v) stop (ll) slow (^) and full speed (looks like two up arrows). reverse is to go backwards, stop is to well... stop, slow is to move forward at half speed, and full speed is to go full speed.

If you get to an intersection, you can choose the way to go, your screen will snap to front view if you're looking anywhere else when you change it.

The rope in the top right corner of the screen is the WHISTLE, go on! give it a tug! The whistle does a lot of things, the sound changes depending on the engine you have.

If you have a cannon, you can tap the screen to fire it.

To stop at a station, simply slow the train to a stop in front of it, you'll get out automatically.

Advanced controls

Emergency stop: When at full speed, throw the lever down to reverse to stop almost instantly.

Nudge forwards: when stopped, go to slow briefly and then to reverse also briefly and then back to stop.

Choose train direction: when you get on your train, the direction of your route judges which way the train will face.

Try to experiment too! Manipulating the gearbox quickly may result in finding a new way to control the train!

In the first section, theres these barrel things. Cannon all the barels the moment they come in! In the second section, there red eyed lasers. Cannon all of them too! The third sections have many blue eyes lasers. SHoot all of them, then rush to ahead of the train and hit its head. Keep on hitting the lasers and shooting the head! (U may hav to stop when the DT goes bluefire or u'll lose heart! If there is a firespot ahead, change course to another track!)

You can't, you can only stun them temporarily by bombing them.

The trains are simple to control press A to accelerate D to Decelerate and S to change direction Emergency break is the backspace button. These are the basic controls for the train.
