you will need to make a few custom pieces but it is to seal the differential to keep fluid in the differential that is the toughest part, after that you will need to get a custom made sprocket to mount where the ring gear originally mounted now if you are too low what can be done is to fabricate a special sprocket off the transmission by putting a bigger sprocket on it to get the correct ratio you will need , but depending on the layout and style of the transmission you may have to go with a mid drive jack shaft and these are used for where the transmission does not have an exposed sprocket off the transmission or the drive sprocket is on the opposite side (this actually makes getting a gear ratio that you want easier and more flexible) and this layout makes it easier to hook a metric motorcycle components to standard components or vice verse.
Since you did not say what you are going to use this for I am limited to basic info but over all this is a very simple conversion and can be used to build a trike, motorcycle engined race cars, off road vehicles and even a homebuilt lawn tractor so I hope this gets you started and remember this K.I.S.S. ( Keep It Simple Stupid) and you will do fine, Good Luck
The differential is part of the drive chain of the car.
not very far
if its rear wheel drive then check differential and if it is a front wheel drive car or diferential is fine then a gear in the trannsmission is sheered
$5.05 indeedly
It is bad to drive it with anything crucial to the car damaged. so yes.
Engine, connected to the gearbox via the clutch and final drive through a differential to the drive wheels
You can not see it, it is part of the transmission assembly. Unless it is a rear wheel drive car.
Yes, although depending of whether you have a front wheel or rear wheel drive, the differential will be set up differently. A differential is just a set of mechanical gears that equalizes the power between the left and right drive wheels, particularly when cornering, when the outside wheel travels further than the inside wheel. It depends on whether or not your car needs a differential. Nascars do not have a differential because those cars always turn in one direction throughout the race. Gokarts (yeah, I know, they aren't cars) do not have a differential.
no
yes you can, but it won't be cheap! you will have to get a custom axle made for the rear of the car
No, the catalytic converter is part of the exhaust system. The drive train is the engine, transmission, and differential.
Depends on the vehicle and where you live.
