1. Hook up a DVD recorder to your camcorder or tape deck. Play the tape, and record the DVD.
2. Use video software to import your tape, and then record that file to a DVD, using iMovie or something similar.
3. Hire someone to do the video conversion for you. I find that most place charge about $40 for an hour of video.
NO you cannot. AS video8 is digital and VHS is analog so they dont work together. The adaptor will only work with VHS-C tapes. What I would recommend is using a video transfer service to convert your video 8 tapes into a digital format. Watch and edit the digital files on your computer or get the tapes transferred to DVDs. StashSpace.Com does a good job at this, costs $7 for the transfer to digital and $10-15 for DVDs. http://www.stashspace.com/video-transfer/video-dvd-transfer.stm
DVD's are the digital equivalent of the old video tapes. DVD's are more robust than tape, don't wear out, and take up much less space in your collection than a video cassette would.
