You need to have any special audio files converting software to convert audio files to mp3 format... For example I use a famous software called AUDACITY to convert WAV format files to mp3 format.... You can download the latest version at audacity.sourceforge.net for free... Open the file through Audacity and go to File ---> Export... option..... Give the appropriate details if you want and save it...Your job is done!! :)Or else, you might have the older version of Audacity which would say it requires some kind of a dll file to convert a file to mp3 format. That file is known as lame_enc.dll. The instructions to download that file is at http://audacity.sourceforge.net/help/faq?s=install&item=lame-mp3....This enables you to convert files to mp3 format with older version of Audacity...After downloading, locate the downloaded file when you want to convert...
In order to convert aup to mp3 when you don't want to use Audacity, you can use Goldwave mp3 converter instead. The reviews for this software are pretty good.
Free programs such as Audacity and dbMusicConverter are the easiest ways to do so. You can also convert to .mp3 by importing to iTunes. There may be online resources to do it by uploading and re-downloading the file too.
Depends on what file type Itunes uses, but probably. First of all, the Audacity file is an .au file. That needs to be converted at least to an .mp3 or .wav file before you can even get anywhere with it. I just opened my Audacity on another computer and found that you should be able to export your file as a .wav file. If you want an .mp3 file, you'll need the Lame encoder and you'll have to install it (It's not hard...just follow the instructions). From there, depending on what Itunes uses, you'll have to convert to that file type. You should be able to find a file converter somewhere on the internet.
Just Export as MIDI file.. Then, convert MIDI file to Mp3 file.
Audacity is currently available for Windows, Apple OSX and Linux, and saves files in its own AUP Audacity Project file format. Audacity's native file format is NOT Wave (WAV) or MP3. You need to choose Export as Wave or MP3 in order to create a file that can be played back in other programs or transferred to an iPod.
maybe you can use something like Audacity. and export file as Mp3.
MP3 and Wave files are two different audio file formats. If you open an MP3 file into a program such as Audacity or Wavelab, the program converts it to a Wave file to edit it.
To convert the files, you first load them in Audacity. Then in the file menu there should be an option saying Export to MP3. CLicking that will save it as an mp3 encoded file. However, this requires the LAME library available at sourceforge - http://lame.sourceforge.net/index.php
MP3 files opened with Audacity will be converted to a non-compressed Wave files format for editing. To save the file back as an MP3, you will need to install a 3rd party MP3 codec such as the LAME MP3 encoder.
Use a program such as Audacity to create a WAV, OGG Vorbis or AIFF file. If you add on an open source MP3 codec, you can also create MP3 files.
I can convert Audacity files to MP3 using Switch MP3 audio converter by NCH Software. The program to convert audio files to mp3 is free and can be found at http://www.nch.com.au/switch/mp3.html.If you're not happy with your ID3 tags, NCH Software has a free tag editor software package called Stamp located at http://www.nch.com.au/tageditor/index.html that allows you to add or change the internal file information associated with an mp3 and other file formats so you can better organize your audio files for jukebox applications and portable music devices such as iPods and cell phones.
