Well, I don't believe that strongly in the ties of one denomination over another, so it might not be too accurate. But, for me, I would say that if you say you are baptist and start going to a baptist church you might as well be baptist. I prefer to stay categorized as non-denominational myself.
Allie Yun's Answer: If you are an adult, speak with somepeople at your church for details about converting. It is your life, and your decision which religion you would like to follow. If you are a teen or child, you can talk to your parents. If your parents still folloiw the Catholic ways OR they dont attend church, I'm not sure what you would do. I am in this situation right now. My parents dont attend church but we are "classified" as Catholics. I have gone to Faith Baptist Church with my friends many times and every time I feel that it is where I belong. I am building up courage to talk to my parents about this "issue" and hope you can build up that courage to. Christ will give you the strength and He will be the light that guides your way. If you really believe you need to convert, I am sure you will find a way.Becoming a baptist does not require any legal processes. It is simply determined by your beliefs. Baptists believe in the Trinity: God is three Persons, the Father, Son (Jesus), and the Holy Spirit. They believe that if you pray to God admitting you are a sinner and telling Him you believe His Word and that Jesus came and died on the cross for your sins, you will become a Christian and spend eternity with Him when you die. You can never lose your salvation. The only other alternative is hell. All souls will have an afterlife. The key idea that makes a baptist a baptist is their belief that it is important to be baptized. They do not believe that this makes you a Christian, but it does allow you to profess your beliefs before the church.
Attend a service. At the end of the service there will be an altar call. Go to the front and profess your faith in Jesus Christ and ask for membership. If there are no objections the church will vote to admit you and welcome you into the church.
If you have not been baptized in another church then you will be asked to go through a baptismal ceremony in the near future. Baptists do not believe in general that baptism "saves" you but is a ceremony that outwardly shows what has happened to your heart and soul.
To become a child of God one must admit they have sinned, confess your sins, and accept Jesus Christ as your personal Savior.
Although there are things that are done in the church that demonstrate this personal decision they are rituals that help one follow Jesus in the way.
you go to the church and you ask to be a member
Q: In a corporate baptist church can deacon also serve as a trustee?
A minister can be divorced and be remarried but it will be examined in his interviews. Baptist churches are autonomous and can make their own decisions about how their church is run. Many Baptist churches will not let a person who is married a second time be a deacon of the church. A deacon is a lay person.
Under current Free Will Baptist doctrine and teachings relevant to Deacons which is referenced to 1st Timothy 3:11-12, the candidate for Deacon cannot be divorced.
A pastor can not remove a deacon in the Baptist church. That is one of the reasons that the requirements for deacons are more stringent than a preachers. A recommendation to the board of deacons to ask a deacon to become inactive is the only recourse.
Baptist churches are democracies. The church elects the deacons after recommendations by the congregation or pastor. The pastor is NOT in control of the church the members are except in Baptist churches that are called "independent" and are not affiliated with a large convection like the General Baptist or Southern Baptist. This is done so the pastor can not take too much control of the church. But the church members can vote to remove a deacon. These types of things are done at business meetings in the church.
If you go to their church get "Baptised" as or become a member of the church
If he purchases something that is needed to accomplish it, then yes. But if it is just compensation for his time/energy, no. It is his duty to the church.
To become a deacon in a non-denominational church, typically you would need to be appointed or selected by church leadership after demonstrating a strong commitment to serving the congregation. This might involve being actively involved in church activities, exhibiting good character, and showing a willingness to support the church's mission and values. Requirements and processes can vary between churches, so it's best to inquire with your specific church leadership for more details.
Every Baptist Church has it's own Constitution and bylaws you would have to ask the individual church leaders in the church you go to for this information. Ask for a copy of the churches Constitution and Bylaws the answer will be in there. There is no set time each Baptist church is an entity unto itself and under now governing body like the Catholic church, Baptist churches are democracies run by the people of the church who vote on the rules of offices in the church

He can be part of the leadership of the church and is usually always a help to the pastor. A deacon will therefore help with preaching, teaching, assisting elders and special needs people, as well as supervising church functions, and can also usually be found in pastor's meetings to help the pastor make decisions.
