First, divide the number micrograms by 1000 to get grams. Then divide the number of grams by the molar mass of the compound to get the number of moles. Finally, multiply the number of moles by 1000 to get micromoles. See the related question below this answer for more details.

Molar is moles per litre. First off you have to divide by 1 million (micrograms to get into grams). Then you have to multiply ml by 1000 to get it per litre. Both of these steps can be simplified by dividing by 1000. Now finally you have to divide this figure (in grams per litre) by the molecular weight to give you molarity.

Since microliters is a volume measurment and micrograms is a massmeasurment there is no straight forward way of converting them. However for the substance water(H2o) 1 Litre(L) of water weighs 1 Kilogram(Kg) which equals to 1000000 microliters(µL) and 1000000000 Micrograms(µG) which equals to 1microliter(µL) = 1 nanograms (ng)

Odd conversion but okay.

So we'll do it in two stages with an example.

Let's convert it from 'microgram per litre' to 'milligram per litre' and then to 'milligram per decilitre'.

We don't have to do that but it's easier to understand and if you make mistakes, you can see where they are.

So let's say we have 100 micrograms per litre.

And to kick off, we'll do 'microgram per litre' to 'milligram per litre'.

There's 1000 micrograms in a milligram so we divide by 1000 and we get 0.1 milligrams per litre. Good start.

Now let's turn that into 'milligram per decilitre'.

There are 10 decilitres in a litre. So we times through by 10 and we get 1 milligram per decilitre.

If you're confused about whether to times or divide, just think about which is bigger and use some logic. Like if you have 5 grams and you want to turn it into KG, do we divide or times by 1000? Well you can't times. Because it's obvious to us that 5000KG is waaaay bigger than 5g. 0.005g seems about right, though.

Same for odder units like micrograms and milligrams. We know there's 1000micrograms in a milligram. If have 100 micrograms, we know we need FEWER milligrams, because the milligrams are bigger. So we divide.

When it comes to unit conversions, just practice like crazy and I guarantee they'll get easier.

Micromolar is micromole per litre. Microgram per ml x 1000 is microgram per litre. Now all you have to do is divide by molecular weight to get micro mole per litre.

gram=moles*molecular weight

moles=gram/molecular weight

Then you have to divide grams of compound X over its molecular weight and then multiply by 1000 to have mole / L

Prepare a 1 micromolar solution?

Micromolar solution: Suppose 300 is mol wt of compound then 300g in 1000 ml -- it becomes 1M 300,000 mg in 1000 ml ---it is also 1 Molar 1 mg=1000 microgram hence 300,000,000 microgram in 1000 ml ----it is 1 molar now 300,000 microgram in 1 ml ----it is 1 Molar 1 molar=1000 milimolar hence 300,000 microgram in 1 ml -----1000 milimolar 300,000 ----------------------------- 1000,000 micromolar 0.3 microgram --in 1 ml it is 1 micromolar simillarly convert the ml as you want

Is milli molar bigger than micro molar?

Yes, mili is 10-3 and micro is 10-6 so mili is bigger.

According to Zimbardo what are the 3 levels at which psychologists do work?

Zimbardo identifies three levels at which psychologists work: the individual level, the small group level, and the societal level. At the individual level, psychologists study and work with specific individuals. At the small group level, they focus on interactions and dynamics within groups. At the societal level, psychologists examine broader cultural and social influences.
