You need to find a transmission and find out if it'll need an adapter plate, and, if so, whether or not one is available. Taking the old transmission off, you simply remove the driveshaft, remove the shift lever, place a transmission jack under the transmission, remove the speedometer cable and other cables from the transmission, unbolt the transmission from the flywheel housing, and it's ready to be dropped. Installation is the opposite order, although you'll be changing your clutch and pressure plates if you're changing transmissions. Make sure you use an alignment tool when mounting the clutch to the flywheel, and also make sure those bolts are torqued to spec.
