How do you convince a girlfriend to stay with you?

Her thoughts are probably "once a cheater, always a cheater" or "if he did it now, he will do it again." Trust is a bad thing to lose in a relationship. You may get lucky if she loves you enough to work through this. If you have no children together and since you are not married, she will probably see this as a clean break and will not come back to you. Take it as a lesson that you should never cheat.

Once you have broken the bond of trust it is very hard to earn back and this just doesn't include your former mate, but family, friends and coworkers. Honesty and good communication skills are two things you should go through life with no matter what your endeavors. You hurt her because she trusted you and you broke that trust. If you loved her so much then you shouldn't feel you had to cheat on her. If you were interested in someone else then you could have been honest and broken up with her leaving her with some dignity. If you have only cheated on her the once (if more forget it) then ask her if she will meet with you.
