Try very hard like being nice to them and make sure to ask in the peak of there day. Meaning when they're the happiest :D It can easily owrk out if you use your imagination and give the highlights of why you "need" it. Good luck :D

I am 12 and have conviced my dad to buy me an iphone. It might take a little time but truse me....this NEVER fails:

1. Ask politley (don't forget to add a touch of cuteness) "Dad...um...what do you think about iphones? (wait for reply) "well I was wondering if I could possibly get one.... (add whatever you like to that)

2. REMEMBER, if he says no don't burst out and yell, it never works just say ok and then walk away.

3. If he answers "ill think about it" then research all the things that come with it (STATE THAT THESE APPS ARE FREE)

4. Show how interested you are

So if you really want a Iphone you can offer your parents the offer that i did! I decided to tell them if I do chores all of them,for 2 months I could get a Iphone. They accepted! Try writing out a contract so you can stick to it. Also, I would offer you trying to pay atleast 1/2! Or instead of chores,(which i reccommend you doing!) You can wait until your parents get their taxes filed! :) Oh and if you do get an Iphone get the white one! Much cooler! :) I hope this helped,it sure did for me! But, you know what they say: One thing may be good for one but not for the other! Oh and don't worry your parents about a Iphone! If you ask them and they say no don't stress say calmly, a £300 iPad mini is the aquivilance of a £100 camera 20 books worth like £100 so that's £200 a portable DVD player £150 for £125 plus 15 games for £75 a laptop (I know an iPad isn't like a laptop but has the basic needs 4 one) £250 and a note pad and pen £5 so you save £455 pounds mum\dad sorry if your not English but you get a basic price brake :) also if your in high school you can use it in I.C.T or at my high school we do Spanish and we have 1 computer Spanish lesson a week please mention this for your own benift and don't sound bossy

Do extra chores, keep things clean, do good in school, do things for your parents when the don't ask you to, and do the things that you are told to do. after that let your parents know that you want the the iPhone, but don't demand for it. tell them nicely that you like to have it. and don't ask for too much.
