You should NEVER EVER give your dog cooked bones. So don't even try it. Because a cooked bone will splinter and tear up your dog's throat.
Try a cow or pig or horse hoof if they are a big dog. Kongs for any dog are brilliant. Those keep your dog interested in something other than you, fill the kong with treats.
