You do NOT have to change the codes. Just use the diamond codes for pearl or vice-versa. who originally answered this question there was a need. the guy who asked it did not know. well with the action replay there is a cord and insturcitons(screw the instuctions) plug the cord in from the ds ar into the computer something shows up dowload wallah make new codes(turn ds on with ar go to update there you go.
