front of Crown Victoria
where are the spark plugs of a 2000 crown Victoria
8 spark plugs
Your crown vic has 8 spark plugs. It is a 4.6 v-8 engine.
Probably a cracked cylinder head.
Just follow the ign. wires to the plugs, and use a spark plug socket.
On a 1996 Ford Crown Victoria , which has the 4.6 liter Single Over Head Cam V8 engine from the factory ( there are 8 spark plugs )
You should have C.O.P. ( coil on plug ) The plugs are under the coils.
The plugs are under the 8 individual coil packs on top of the engine.
Remove the coil on top of the plug. There's the spark plug.
Should be a 5/8 spark plug socket.
According to one of Fords websites : For a 1991 LTD Crown Victoria : The 5.0 liter / 302 cubic inch V8 spark plugs are gapped at ( .050 inch ) The 5.8 liter / 351 cubic inch V8 spark plugs are gapped at ( .044 inch )
Disconnect the battery, remove the cover, remove the cables and boots, and remove the spark plugs. Put in the new spark plugs, replace the cables and boots, replace the cover and connect the battery.
