If you are using windows 7, Windows have removed the icon from your desktop for some reasons that are too complicated to explain now. To create a new shortcut find it in the start menu, right click it and click the button to add it to your desktop. If it is unavailable in the start menu then right click a blank space on your desktop, click new, shortcut. Now type in the box
"%programfiles%\internet explorer\iexplore.exe"
YOU MUST INCLUDE THE QUOTATION MARKS!
This method should also work for windows vista. This method is untested on windows vista as it should be in the start menu for windows vista users.
