It depends on what server you are using but most likely yes. Contact whoever hosts your website and get the log if you cannot find it in your website directory or control panel. If the document was posted via a php script that you host, there may not be a logged entry for that upload. The scripts designer would to have placed a code to create and/or post to a log file.
