How do you decipher the code on shark tooth island?

You have to spell the word OPEN. (The translation key is on the Journal page on top of the temple ruins.)

To open the wall to the bone and ingredient chambers, you just need to spell "OPEN" using the ancient hieroglyphic letters. There are seven symbols on the "teeth" running left to right. Press the 3rd, 4th, 6th, and 7th symbols*, then press the "nose", and the door will open. You do not need to get the journal page off the roof of the ruins (which is where this code is revealed).

To get the Journal page : Go to the ancient ruins. Push the big block until you can jump onto the vine. Climb until you get to the wooden platform. Jump left from there and you will land atop the ruins, where the Journal Page is located.

(*Counting left to right, the symbols are #3 - triangle down, #4 - box eight, #6 - square backward L, and #7 - maze. Using top and bottom teeth, the selections are second top, second bottom, third bottom, fourth top.)

You have to spell the word OPEN using the symbols on the seven teeth. The translation key is on the journal page on the roof of the ruins. To get the page, push the large block to the right until you can jump up to the hanging vine. (Beware falling giant coconuts.) Go to the wooden platform and jump hard to the left to reach the roof. Once you enter the code, press the nose of the face. The light will turn green and the door will open.

To open the door without getting the page, press the 3rd, 4th, 6th, and 7th teeth (all seven considered as one row), then the nose.

This door is at the very left of the Temple Entrance. Click the face, and when you enter click the triangles, read it like you are reading this answer. Press the second one, fourth one, sixth, and seventh. Then, press the nose. The eyes should turn green. You have opened the door!
