you cant. you need to go to pallett town and get the flash light from professor morge. then head to the tunnel of Gala in the 5th city. use your flash light to see to get through and get the "true gold pokeball" at the end of the cave. then when you come up on the Darkai use it on him. it is that simple it took me two days too figure it out.
