An organization is a group of people who work together to achieve a common goal. An organization whose goal is directed toward profit or making money is classified as a business. Businesses engage in the manufacture, distribution, and sale of goods and services. Organizations with a goal not directed toward or other than profit or making money are classified as non-profit. Non-profit organizations include schools, hospitals, and religious and scientific organizations.
