Evaporation, Transpiration, Condensation , Precipitation Absorptionl, Infiltration, Ground water, and then runoff Those are the steps of the water cycle! made by Trey Cuellar

How does the water cycle go around?

Say you are a water droplet in the ocean. This is how your day goes; Evaporation, Condensation, Precipitation, Runoff, Transpiration, Infiltration, Aquifer, Surface Water in the ocean.

How water cycles through the biosphere?

The water cycle through the biosphere is precipitation, condensation, evaporation, runoff, infiltration, and transpiration. The water also goes through three changes, gas, liquid, and solid.

What is the difference between infiltration and runoff?

infiltration is different because when it happens the rain soaks underground it doesn't fall back into bodies of water like runoff does.

How does urbanization paving etc affect runoff and infiltration in a small previously forested drainage basin?

Infiltration decreases; runnoff increases

Factors that impact drainage density?

runoff- the higher the evaporation the lower the drainage desity.the amount of rainfall and infiltration. if there is more rainfall there is less infiltration

What type of places can surface runoff be at?

In areas where there is no snow, runoff will come from rainfall. However, not all rainfall will produce runoff because storage from soils can absorb light showers. Infiltration excess overland flow more commonly occurs in arid and semi-arid regions, where rainfall intensities are high and the soil infiltration capacity is reduced because of surface sealing, or in paved areas. When the soil is saturated and the depression storage filled, and rain continues to fall, the rainfall will immediately produce surface runoff. Urbanization increases surface runoff, by creating more impervious surfaces such as pavement and buildings, that do not allow percolation of the water down through the soil to the aquifier.

What is percolation in soil?

Percolation of soil is the infiltration of it, which is important because it determines if water placed on soil will either soak through or cause runoff or even worse erosion.
