You cannot delete your account (which eventually will be deleted because you don't go onto it.). But you can uninstall your program by going to your control panel and going to programs and then you can delete it.

∙ 12y agoYou basiclly can't delete a skype account but eventually if you don't go on it for a while then it will automaticlly delete itself. Either that or you have to burn your account. I have no idea how to do this but my friend told me you could.

Many people have probably told you that you cannot delete your Skype account, and that all you can do is just delete all of the information on it. Well, they are wrong. Although you cannot delete your account yourself, you can get someone who works for Skype to do it for you. Here is how you do it:
1. Follow this link: https://support.microsoft.com/skype/hostpage.aspx?language=en&locale=EN-US&oaspworkflow=start_1.0.0.0&needslogin=true&wfname=skype&ccsid=635348178782338056
2. Sign in with your Skype name and password.
3. Select the topic you need help with and the problem you are having. Some information that might help with your problem is displayed (but for this, ignore the information given: it will not tell you how to delete your account, but it will most probably tell you how to abandon it).
4. If the information does not help, click next.
5. Select your contact method. You will see an option to request chat support - click text chat support.
6. From this point follow the instructions and you end up in a live chat with a member from the Skype team. Tell him/her that you would like to delete/deactivate your account, and if they ask why tell them the reason for it.
This method worked for me, and the man I was talking to was very polite and concise and deleted my account within a matter of minutes. Remember to be polite and patient and explain what you want to do and why very clearly so that it is clear that you want to delete your account.

∙ 9y agoGo to 'Computer', find 'Uninstall or change a program' on the top of your screen then click on it, scroll down your programs till you find 'SkypeTM' then double click on it (or click on it once then click on the 'Uninstall' button) to uninstall Skype. You can also use this method to uninstall any other unwanted programs on your laptop. hope this helps :)
