You cannot delete an alternate. However, for ones with bad spelling, grammar, etc., you can add them to the "Bad spelling/grammar" tier.
If you are talking about "splitting questions," making the alternate a question because it isn't asking the same thing as the question, then when you are signed in and at the question, on the left side of the screen click "Edit altrenates." Then "split question" (after you find it)
