I had a ton of duplicate photos cluttering my gallery, so I used a duplicate files fixer app to scan and group them automatically. After reviewing the results, I deleted the extra copies in a few taps and freed up a lot of storage.
There is not an android photo app that you can download that will let you know if you have a duplicate photo already in your gallery.
Head over to Gallery, Select the photos you want to delete from device and tap the dustbin button available on top right side of the screen.
What I did when this happened to me was I uninstalled Picasa 3. Then, I removed the duplicate pictures from my hard drive. After that, I reinstalled Picasa 3. Everything worked just fine from then on.

I used Duplicate Files Fixer before and it actually worked pretty well for clearing out duplicate photos, downloads, and random backups without much setup. Just review the files before deleting — no duplicate finder is perfect.
In iPhoto just click and highlight the photo or photos you want to delete and then in the toolbar click Photos > Delete From Album. Or you can right click any photo and then select Delete From Album.

One way to delete all of the photos you need to delete without going through all of your photos one by one is to " like " all of the photos you want to delete, then go to " photos I've liked " and delete them one by one from there. Not ideal I know but its as good as it gets. The normal way: You only can delete one at a time. Click on the picture you want to delete. On the bottom right hand side you will see three dots in a gray box. Click on the box with the dots. A new screen with photo options will appear. Click on delete to remove the photo from your collection.
