1. Plug your iPod into a computer that has iTunes installed. (You can download it from www.apple.com if you don't already have it on your computer.)
2. When your iPod is recognized, it will pop up in the sidear of iTunes. Click on "Music" under your iPod and then find the songs you wish to delete.
3. Simply click on the song, then press "delete" on your keyboard.
4. Choose to place the song in your Recycle Bin (to delete it permanetly) or "Keep in iTunes" (to delete from your iPod, but not the iTunes program).
You have to plug the iPod into your computer with the cord it came with and then go to iTunes. Next, double click on the iPod nano icon in the left sidebar and it should drop a list of things like 'Music' etc. Click on the 'Music' category and you should see all the songs that are on the iPod nano (at this stage if you can't click on the songs then you need to change the iPod to 'let the iPod be controlled manually' which if you click the iPod icon, should bring you to a list of options you can check for the iPod). On the song you do not want, control-click it and click 'delete'. It will not delete the song off the computer, but it will delete it off the iPod! Happy listening :)

You cannot erase music directly from your iPod Nano. You must plug it in to your computer, open up iTunes (Note: The following information has only been verified for iTunes version 8.0 and later), and wait for iTunes to show a bar with your iPod's name in the vertical bar to the left in iTunes. After plugging the iPod in, there should be three submenu under your iPod's name, and click on 'Music'. Find the music you want to delete, and right mouse click on it (or hold Ctrl+Click), and click on 'delete'. It will ask you whether you want to remove the song from your iPod or not, and click 'yes' or 'remove'. If that window doesn't show, it means you have made it not ask you every time sometime in the past. That is how to erase music from your iPod Nano.
You have to delete music from an iPod through iTunes.
Plug your iPod into your computer/laptop using the USB cable. Open iTunes and your iPod will appear on the left hand side menu. When you click on it, it'll show you the music that's currently on your iPod. Click on a song and press the delete key on your keyboard or right-click on it and press 'delete'.
Once you've deleted the songs you no longer want, click on 'sync' before removing your iPod from your computer.
Delete them from your itunes then sync your ipod or if you dont want to delete them from your itunes you can untick the songs you dont want and then sync

which version of the ipod nano?
ipod nano will only play music when connected to ac current
I would suggest Ipod Nano because mp3 player you can just listen to music and other and other stuff but on Ipod nano it has calender, games, you can record videos and listen to music and on some ipod nano you can download unlimited music.
The Ipod dock adapter charges the nano and allows you to play music if it has speakers
Do you want to transfer your iPod nano library to a second iPod? If yes, then you need to run an app called CopyTrans, and transfer all your iPod music to iTunes, then sync your second iPod. On the link section is the URL address of this app :) You need iTunes to upload music to iPod Nano, drag your music into iTunes, plug in your iPod to computer, then iTunes will detect it automatically, and then sync iPod, done.
Sync it through iTunes.
