How do you dial a cell phone number in Greece?

All telephone numbers in Greece are 10 digits. Landline numbers begin with 2, and mobile numbers (cell phones) begin with 6. Within Greece, you must always dial the full 10-digit number. From outside Greece, just add the telephone country code +30 at the beginning.

On a mobile phone, dial the number in full international format, beginning with +30 (including the plus symbol).

On a landline phone, replace the plus symbol with your international access prefix (based on YOUR location, not the person you're calling). The most common prefix is 00, but many countries use other prefixes.

(The plus sign means "insert your international access prefix here." From a GSM mobile phone, you can enter the number in full international format, starting with the plus sign. The most common prefix is 00, but North America (USA, Canada, etc.) uses 011, Japan uses 010, Australia uses 0011, and many other countries use different prefixes.)
