In most vehicles you can remove the fuel pump fuse or fuel pump relay as the engine is running, the engine will stall when the pressure is gone.
Pull the fuel pump fuse.
Locate and pull the fuse for the fuel pump. Crank the engine for 5-10 seconds. No more fuel pressure.
The fuel pump pressure sensor monitors the fuel pressure of the vehicle.
You first have to disable the fuel pump by pulling out the fuse. Crank the engine over to bleed off the pressure and then disconnect the fuel lines from the tank. After that you drop the tank and the whole assembly will be on top.
Pull the fuse or fuel pump relay.
The fuel pump pressure sensor monitors the fuel pressure of the vehicle.
It does not have a fuel cutoff switch, you have to remove the fuel pump relay to disable the fuel pump.
Do a fuel pressure check-no fuel pressure means defective fuel pump-
It pumps fuel at a higher pressure than a standard fuel pump.
The fuel pump switch is what tells the fuel pump what pressure to pump fuel into the fuel rail
You will have to remove the fuel pump relay or the fuse for the fuel pump. You did not say what year it was, so I can't tell you where it is. SORRY.
While engine is running remove the fuel pump fuse. Engine will run out of fuel when pressure drops.
