To uninstall Deepfreeze you have to follow some few simple steps.
1. Start your computer in Safe mode
2 . Open your Deepfreeze application and thaw it.
3. Restart your computer it should now be in thaw mode.
4. Uninstall deepfreeze using your deepfreeze installer .
Thats It. It worked for me. I have replied to many of people asking me the question. But no one came back saying it was successfull though. I have seen my answer now in many threads with different names.
If you feel that way too diffilcult to you, you can try Windows Add/Remove Programs first. uninnstall deepfreeze with that is much easier than that in safe mode. If you are still not sure to uninstall, a uninstaller may be your choice.

- Enter your password and click OK.
- If you have not yet entered a password you should be able to click OK without entering a password.
- The Boot Options dialog is displayed. Select "Boot Thawed" and click OK. This will disable Deep Freeze on the next reboot.
- Reboot your computer. After the computer reboots, you are ready to uninstall Deep Freeze.
To uninstall:
- Locate the installation file you used to install Deep Freeze on your computer. By default, the name of this file is called "DF5Std.exe" for versions 5.X and "DF6Std.exe" for versions 6.X.
- Run the installation file (DF5Std.exe or DF6Std.exe).
- Select the option to "Uninstall"
Deep Freeze is uninstalled and your computer is rebooted.

∙ 15y agoActually, you can't. You can acces the password screen with holding the SHIFT, ALT, CTRL and F6 button. If you don't know that password, you can't stop it.

If you can see the Deep Freeze Logo in the tray, lower right, then you can use a program called Deep UnFreeze to unload the program. Then, while it is in an unlocked state, use the source files to de-install it. The key is that Deep Freeze must be unlocked in order to de-install it, otherwise the changes will not really take place (they are sent to memory instead of being written to the hard drive). Deep UnFreeze is readily available on the web as a fee download. Apparently it was written by some fellow who resented Faronics and became determined to defeat them. If you cannot see the Deep Freeze logo in the system tray (lower right) then the program is damaged and cannot be removed. You need to re-image. JSmith
