Please read all instructions before stsrting the job! #1- MAKE SURE THE GUN IS COMPLETELY UNLOADED BEFORE YOU START THIS PROCEDURE!!! #2- After visual inspection of step #1 , pull the trigger so that the gun "dry fires" . #3 - with a small object, like a pen cap, the end of your finger, etc. , push in on the aluminum firing pin spring housing, on the back of the pistol slide. When you have pushed it in 1/4 to 3/8 of an inch, you will be able to lift the back of the slide a little ways, and slide it forward along the frame. The complete slide will come off forward, with the recoil spring usually staying on the barrel. Do not lose the aluminum firing spring housing when it comes loose from the frame! #4- To reassemble, you pull the slide onto the barrel against the spring pressure of the recoil spring, until the slide drops down almost into place; the firing pin spring housing must be pushed in, to allow the hook on the bottom of the aluminum spring cap to "catch" the pin in the frame. job is complete, hope these instructions help.
