Ford fuel lines use a unique line coupler. You'll need to purchase a disconnect tool, but fortunately they are relatively inexpensive and can be purchased at most auto parts retailers.
The fuel filter is on the drivers side frame under the brake master cylinder. To change it remove the 2 10mm nuts from the filter bracket then disconnect the fuel lines to it AND CAREFULLY REMOVE do not bend the plastic lines.
It will fit in there but none of the brackets, cables, mounts or lines will fit. No!

Once you find it, there will be 2 retaining clips holding the fuel lines to the fuel filter. Take a screwdriver and pry off the retaining clip off the top. And there is another clip on the underside of the fuel filter. Then unfasten the filter retaing clamp screw and remove the fuel filter. Install in reverse order.
