The first bit is easy - don't stop running around the track and press either left or right key when going down ladders to go faster.
On the purple bubble bit - get the blue shield (you will know which one I mean) and stand by the ladder in the left hand corner!
You will have to move about a bit until you find the safe spot where you can't be hit and keep shooting.
(There is a safe spot in every level)
