How to solve:

First heat a rock by the fire. You will find the rocks under the bridge to the science lab. While you're doing that, drag another villager to the pots. There are two, so you can pick either one. The fresh water pots are by the Flute heads, the waterfall (where debris piles up), where the villagers put debris after clearing it, and to the right of the tree. And the salt water pots are under the cliff, where kids make sandcastles, the beach and the waterfall (when debris is at 100%). The salt water and fresh water pots are different because if you use fresh water, you are cooking food, and salt water is for non-food cooking.
