Note: If you do not have a Flash button on your phone, press the "hang-up" button (the switch-hook) quickly instead.
While you are on a call, press Flash. Dial the second number. Press Flash again and all three of you will be connected.
To disconnect the extra person, press Flash. You cannot disconnect the person you originally called without disconnecting the extra person.
Simply dial the first number and wait until the first party answers, have them hold on for a second, hit the "flash" or "hang up" button and wait for the dial tone then call the second number. When the second number starts ringing, it is safe to hit the "flash" or "hang up" button again. You should end up with a three person conversation.
1. Call the first person and tell them that you are going to do a 3-way call. (ask them to hold on for a second)
2. Then press number 1 on your phone and say "i love you" (this is the password for the free version of 3-way calling)
3. Press the "talk" button on your phone
4. Enter the 2nd person's phone number and wait for them to answer
5. Keep doing this until all of the people you want to talk to are called and then press the flash button and all your friends will be there!

You typically place a call to the first person, place them on hold, call the second person, and press talk on your phone to bring everyone to the same call. On landlines, you usually have one person on the line, push the flash button and call the other person, then push the flash button again.
