The PS3 will ask you to connect and download the software. It will handle the upgrade itself.
Yes,and it should be touch-screen The PS3 does not require the new PS3 only one updated with latest software. PS3 does not contain a screen and the move will work on even a Standard resolution TV connected to an updated PS3
No you can not download software
You don't you can not make a PS3 play PS2 games by downloading software Software is designed to make hardware work and the PS3 does not have PS2 hardware it has PS3 hardware and the PS2 software will not work on the PS3
You can download it from the PlayStation network if you mean update 3.50 to the PS3. You can also download PS3 software from there if you have replaced your harddrive
you must contact the sony play station Support line.
No it means that the PlayStation network will let you download PS2 software
No The PS3 can not be changed to have the ability to play PS2 games,. There is no software or hardware you can purchase that with allow a PS3 not designed to Play PS2 games to be able to play them.
The ability for that kind of software(otherOS) to be used by the PS3 was taken from the PS3 when it was updated in fall 2009 . see related links
u will be but u will need software for that / chipped ps3 for it to work or the format / blue ray so no but if u get the software then yess
It would have to be a particular firmware version and hasn't been updated afterwards, and the Linux distro must explicitly support the PS3.
But a new PS3
When you do the updates they tell you that they can not be uninstalled. Downgrade of an update is the same thing as uninstalling the update. Once the PS3 has been updated you can not get it back to the old programming. I don't believe you can even install a new harddrive and download the original PS3 operating system without the updates.
