When it first came out in June 2007, the internet Channel was free. Now, however, the Internet Channel costs 500 Wii Points, and there is no way to get it for free.
If your friend has it, he/she may be able to copy it onto an SD card and bring it to you. You cannot copy it again onto your own Wii, though.

∙ 14y agoYou can not download anything using the Wii internet channel. You must use the Wii shop channel to download purchases made with Wii points.
The factory operating system (OS) Opera. is not designed to fullfill this function.

2. Make sure your Wii is connected to the internet
3. Select the Wii Shop Channel
4. Start the channel
5. Click Start Chopping
6. Go to Channels
7. Scroll down through the channels to the Internet Channel
8. Click on the banner
9. Click Download
