Wine works so you can download software for Windows and open it in Wine. You can simply run the exe setup file with wine and then it should work well. See the wine website to see if visual studio works on wine or not. It says that visual studio 2010 does NOT work, so if that's what you have it's not even worth trying.
Sorry, as of feburary Microsoft removed the downloading of Visual Studio 2005 but 2008 isn't that different, I recommend it. Visual Studio 2008 : http://www.microsoft.com/express Also, if you mean illegally download it then nobody on this website will tell you how, if anything download the free edition of 2008 at the link above. -- Daniel Sage
not much really. The only thing is, is that it costs and takes up alot of room on your pc. if you are downloading, prepare for a long download. Visual Basic is free!
Out of the box, Ubuntu does not support ANY Windows programs, released by Microsoft or not. If you install Wine on Ubuntu, With Wine installed, you can run Visual Studio .NET 2003, but no later version.
Visual Studio Express can be downloaded from http://www.microsoft.com/express/ The other editions of Visual Studio are not free and must be purchased.
As long as you are downloading it from a legitimate site, then it is completely safe. Download it from Microsoft.
Step up 2: the streets) is out now and you can watch it at MYMOVIE.com (if you can't they moved on to a different movie :) :( srry

The latest version of Visual Studio is Visual Studio 2008 (v9.0).
Studio consists of C#, VisualJ, etc. Visual Basic is the predefined function of the VB6 environment. if you want to code in VB strictly, download VB6, but if you want to use C#, etc. than use VS6. But by now, I recommend upgrading to VS2008
Visual Studio Express.
Microsoft Visual Studio has been written in Visual C++ and Visual C#
