I'd start with basic circles for the head, body, and 2 feet, plus the 2 wings and 2 ears. Then id slowly shape the circles into what they look like. Erase, draw, erase, draw. Eventually you will get the shape then you got a nice outline of a owl. Then go ahead and begin to detail it and add feathers. I suggest looking up an image of a owl to free hand off of, maybe a how to guide even because explaining it is hard.
