Stardoll exists for girls and guys to dress up a character that they create and customize. It exists because some people (like me) cannot afford expensive clothes or might not be comfortable with how they look so they have a medoll, a character that they can dress up with whatever clothes they want that can be designer clothing and it makes them feel better about themselves (mostly)

Hmm This Used To Happen To Me Too. I Used To Play Around With It, And Most Of The Time This Would Work: When You've Saved Your New MeDoll, A Button Comes Up Saying 'Saved!', Log Out Quickly Before It Fades. Log Back In & Hopefully It Should be There.h
