i am going to change my transmission filter, want to know how
you have to drop the oil pan on the TRANSMISSION, and you can't miss it, it will be right on the other side.
Usually after you drop the pan it is accessible
The overdrive solenoid is on the top of the valve body inside the transmission. The pan and valve body have to be removed to access.
You must drop the transmission pan. It is usually held in by 2 or 3 screws, which may be either Phillips or Torx head.
It is inside the transmission pan on the valve body.It is inside the transmission pan on the valve body.
Yes, it bolts to the bottom of the case inside the trans pan.
The valve body is mounted to the bottom of the transmission case, inside the pan.
no drain plug on the transmission you have to loosen the bolts on the pan.start from one corner and work your way around the transmission pan be ready alot of fluid is gona come out
located in the transmission oil pan. unbolt pan and it will be visible. may want to drain transmission first though. = )
It uses a 46RE transmission.
remove pan, change filter, reinstall pan, fill fluid.
No. The Ram 3500 has a much heavier duty transmission, and swapping one out for another will NOT be a simple drop-in swap.
