there are lots of ways to cure poison ivy, but one of the popular est is to wash the affected area and cold water with soap. if you use this cure within 5 minutes then it will keep the poison from seeking into your skin. a big mistake most people make is using hot water but this does not work, it opens the pores in your skin and lets the poison seek in.

∙ 12y agoWhen I have poison ivy I always put on calamine lotion on it, it really helps, if you would rather not put the pink one on it then use the clear one and maybe use something like a rag to put it on your poison ivy. DO NOT SCRATCH IT! It only makes it spread, if it finally drys out DO NOT put water or anything on it just let it dry and it will eventually go away.
