There isn't exactly actual *Ages* but your sim grows up in stages. Baby-toddler-child-teen-young adult-adult-elder. Or, If you have The Sims 3 for wii, -> Child-teen-adult elder. (Pretty boring I know!!)

∙ 13y agoyou can go into buy mode and get a cake and then have the sim you want to age up blow out the candles and they will grow up.

As far as I know, there is no edit town mode in any console versions of The Sims 3. This is only in the PC version.

I have played it for a while and my sims have never sneaked out so no. (Edit by Katharine highfield)- if they are teen Sims they can get grounded and they can then 'sneak out' by creeping out of home

You can edit your town by going into the options menu (where you save your game etc) and clicking Edit Town. There is also software that is available on the Official Sims 3 website which enables you to create a town from scratch.
