How do you use cheats in visual boy advance?

Get the codes from some cheat websiteGo to the thing that says cheats on top.

A box will open up and you select game shark

If you are playing Pokemon (for example)

a)You will have to type in a master-code(given with cheats)

b)For Pokemon you will have to:

Name: Rayquaza

Code:xxxxxxx xxxxxxx

xxxxxxx xxxxxxx

and press OK. when you go look in the grass rayquaza appears.

To deactivate it go back to the game-shark area. You will see tick marks in boxes. Deselect it and look in the grass again rayquaza won't appear.

It all depends on the emulator. (let's take visual boy advanced for an example) First off you have to check options/settings then go to "cheats" then go to either GameShark or codebreaker. Depending on which you've chosen you then Google the code you want example you chose gameshark. Google *insert gamename here* gameshark codes and you should have your results!

To put Gameshark codes into VisualBoy Advance, click Cheats and then Cheat list. Then click "Add Gameshark..." and put a description of the GameShark code in the upper box and the code in the lower. first you need to find either GameGenie or GameShark cheat codes, there are loads of websites with codes on so that shouldn't cause too much hassle.

once you've found the codes you then have to input these to the cheat list.

[cheats -> cheat list...]

once in the cheat list select to add a new code (make sure you select the right type so if you have a gameshark code you must click [add gameshark...]

once you get the next dialog box you can enter your own description for the cheat and then put the code or codes into the box below. If you have more than one code given then enter all of them on separate lines. Once that's all done press [ok] and then make sure every instance of the cheat is enabled by checking the box next to it in the list.

More cheats can be added in the same way.
