Did you try disconnecting the battery for five minutes? Most OBD II code readers have a reset or erase feature that will erase the codes and reset the computer after diagnostics are complete.
By eraser
The country code and area code of Mercedes, Uruguay is 598, (0)53.
no you can't erase them, they tell you that when you type in your first cheat code
Without a code reader (you can buy one for about $80 at most auto parts stores), you can sometimes erase the codes by disconnecting the battery cables. Most newer code readers allow you to erase the computer memory.
Each radio is assigned a unique code when made. There is no "universal" code for any Mercedes radio.
We use D8670 which is basically the monthly maintenance code. Hope this helps.
Are you sure that the code you have entered is correct? If you have entered the code more than 3 times incorrectly, it will refuse any code after that (even the correct code). In this case you will have to disconnect your battery to erase its memory of the wrong input(s) and try again. If that doesn't work, you will have to take your car to your Mercedes Dealer- they will have to pull the radio to get the serial number off of the back of the unit- then using that number they will be able to retrieve the actual code for you. (note: some dealers will charge you for labor if the radio does have to be pulled
